Thumbs up I want to see more Western movies on Blu-ray!

I just finished watching "The Searchers" on Blu-ray and I absolutely loved it.
This movie has revived my interest in Western movies and I want more!

Is it possible to use the search function on this forum to look up all Westerns available on Blu-ray?
Any suggestions or recommendations?

I would love to see "Chisum (1970)" on Blu-ray.

Thanks,
Zak

The only genre I've never seen a single film of, I don't know why though.
Unless you count Blazing Saddles....probably not.

Westerns drove the industry's shift to widescreen in the fifties with their breathtaking landscape photography, it's only appropriate that there should be a huge demand for HD remasters of all the classic westerns.

Bring on 'Silverado', 'High Plains Drifter', 'The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly', 'A Fistful of Dollars', 'For a Few Dollars More', 'The Magnificent Seven', 'The Big Country', 'The Bravados', etc.

Broken Trail, Rio Bravo and The Cowboys are some good BD discs worth checking out, if you're a fan of westerns.

Yes Wyatt is out. Broken Trail is another one.

I don`t think Open Range is out but I own almost all of that list. I love westerns on Blu-ray.

My tongue is hanging out for the day that we get Brokeback Mountain on Blu-ray (USA release). I want it to have an uncompressed PCM soundtrack and I want it to be in special packaging (something cowboy-ish). I am not a huge fan of westerns, but this film got my juices flowing. Heath Ledger provided a stimulating performance and Jake Gyllenhaal was a perfect fit for the role -- as well as for his Levis. I know the sex scenes were all CGI, but it looked so real when the guys were tongue kissing. I love special effects!

The only other western I really enjoyed was 3:10 to Yuma. I only wish that Christian Bale and Russell Crowe had a love scene like in Brokeback Mountain. Oh well. Maybe they will do a sequel: 3:11 to Yuma or something like that.

I want the Dollars Trilogy and nothing else. Especially Fistful of Dollars and The Good The Bad and The Ugly.

3:10 to Yuma? I'm sorry that film was an abortion of epic proportions. It's amazing that a film with such greatness as Christian Bale and Russell Crowe could be so terrible.

The 1957 original with Glenn Ford was better.

The Searchers and 3:10 to Yuma are on blu. Both top releases. I would love to see a very grainy transfer of Dead Man with Johnny Depp.
