Reviews have been mixed that I've seen. Supposedly they all like the female star and the action sequences but the story itself has left something to be desired. Most are comparing it more closely to The Protector/Warrior King than Ong-Bak.

It's worth it. The lead is great, and the action is amazing. I found the story to be on par with Tom Yum Goong and Ong-Bak. That is to say: fine.

P.S.: I call the female lead Jony Taa.

Well, as a thai. This movie is waaaaay better than other thai movies released in US [Tiger Blade, Vengeance].

But, comparing to Ong Bak, it's like the phrase "nothing can compare with the original.." IMO, Chocolate is just a trend..

Great movie. The fights are brutal and to pick at the story is useless, it at least TRIES to have one, unlike the tacked on Ong-Bak and Tom Yum Goong plots,(both essentially the same).

I can test it immediately upon delivery as I have both A+B players. Probably not good for you though as it will have shipped by then. If you want to wait for my go ahead I can let you know ASAP.

Out of curiosity I have now watched this. Its quite a good movie, however due to subtitling problems I could only follow it somewhat. Its a slightly deeper movie than the Tony Jaa iterations thats for sure. The narrative in the movie is very limited as well.

Choreography is hilarious at times in a Jackie Chan kinda way. I found the movie extremely OTT and even though the stunts were extremely well handled I felt there needed to be a little more realism. The 1 against 300 thing has been done before time and again and this adds little to the genre. It was however refreshing to see a female lead in this type of movie, although anyone expecting a raunchy lass will be disappointed. I admire that though.

7/10. Still getting on blu.

I'm pretty sure mine will be here in 2 hours. I have a region A PS3 so can test for region compatibility.

There doesn't seem to be a buzz surrounding this one.

Its region free for those who are interested.

DTS HD MA 5.1 (Thai)
AVC
16:9 full screen

PQ - 4/5

There are no subtitle options, so I guess they are fixed. There is no English dubbing.

Extras -

Apart from the trailer, all extras are 576p and are unaccessible via region A players. Attempting to play such extras just causes a blip on the screen/audio and it continues to show the main menu.

It has DTS HD MA? Thank God, I'm still waiting on mine and the cover in the shops only say Dolby 5.1.
