Spider-man 2 Coming Soon to Blu-ray - Blu-ray Forum

I know this isnt ground breaking news but on the Stranger Than Fiction BR it has a preview of up coming BR titles and Spiderman 2 is on it,it also had quick snippets of S2 and it looked amazing.It didnt announce the first one yet but im sure by the time S3 is here it will either already be here or on its way.

I Dont have an official link and like I said its on The BluRay of Stranger Than Fiction.
But Cinema Blend posted an article about Sonys new Internet box and there giving HD copies of Spiderman 2 along with that when you purchase it,so not too much longer.

Seems par for the course that Sony would be selling just Spidey 2 without 1 but what can you do. I would not be suprised if they decided to hold them both back. It doesn't bother me so much because the only one that's aired so far has been an open matted version of 2 on HBO. At least this way we'll get an OAR version.

Luckily I have a copy of 1 off of HBO on DVHS I taped a few years back.

As a sidenote of interest, Spiderman 1 is coming out on UMD (PSP) for the first time next month, April 17. Kind of strange, but since I have a PSP and the movie is under $15, I'll get it in this format.

I saw the same previews of movies onthe Rocky Balboa Blu-Ray. It also showed Bad Boys II. Both this and Spiddy II look amazing in PQ from the peek.

Can someone tell me what's the deal with releasing newer titles first? Like Spiderman II comes out b4 Spiderman 1, etc. I understand for new dvd releases it makes a difference because poeple don't already own it on DVD, so they're more likely to buy i on BD if they have BD player, but movies that are few years old? Why?

Over on the Insider's Forum, paidgeek has stated that we shouldn't expect any Spiderman movie in Q2, but sometime this year... I'm willing to bet this means that they won't be available 'till Spidey 3 is ready to hit BD and they'll take the M:I marketing route: Make Spidey 3 available seperately, and only sell 1&2 packaged along with 3 to maximize profits on all three releases.
