Default What do I need to do? (PS3, Onkyo 605, DVR)

I have a DVR and a PS3 connected to my Onkyo 605 via HDMI. I then have the 605 connected to my TV via HDMI. I have 3 more HDMI inputs on the TV.

I want to be able to watch TV and play video games without the 5.1 setup at times (at night). How should I go about this without unplugging the HDMI and switching it whenever I want to do this.

What is the easiest/cheapest way to do this? Thanks

just a guess. set the reciever so that it sends audio out to the tv through the hdmi. maybe you can turn down the 5.1 and just listen to your tv speakers

I would think something like this with a couple of HDMI outputs (one to the receiver and one to the TV) should do the trick.

I have the 705 and a similar setup. When you don't want to listen to audio through your AVR, set the HDMI Audio Out to 'yes' or 'on' (not sure the proper term off the top of my head). When you do that, it will pass audio to the TV and you can turn down your AVR volume. Just be sure to change it back when you want to listen to audio through your AVR, or you will only get 2-channel audio (which is the best, most likely, that your set will accept).
