Question Sci-Fi Movies

Does anyone know if they plan on putting out the Last Starfighter, Tron, and Close Encounters Of The Third Kind on Blu Ray? I bet all three would look great, given the proper transfers. Isn't this year the 30th Anniversay of Close Encounters?

Close Encounters aired on HDNet recently so there is certainly an HD transfer 'available'.

Tron and the SFX of CE3K were shot on 70mm. It would be real nice that they scanned the 65/70mm elements at 4k for BD But will it happen?

I would guess the SFX of the Last Starfighter were rendered at high enough resolution too (seem to recall the 4k figure in the monitors in reading some info about it many years ago but I'm not sure)

Now to answer darkpoet25's question, as High Definition gets more established and the user base grows at one point these films will come out. They came out in Laserdisc, some with incredible editions. Laserdiscs reached 10,000 titles. We're still not there with High Def yet (just 1/40th)

Why do you say that? It's one of my best looking 16:9 coded PAL DVDs. I saw it in the theater and it looked great. Hah almost like a silent movie with color!
