Default What are the advantages of buying blu ray disks?
Hello all, I'm a proud new blu ray owner, got a great deal and couldn't pass it up. Here is my question. My current TV resolution is only 720p. Is there any advantage to purchasing Blu Ray disks as it can only play at 720? Is there any difference at 720p between blu ray disks and standard disks? I'll eventually go up to 1080p, but just wanted to know if I'm wasting my money re-buying old classics if I can only watch at 720.

So confused.
