hulk on blu-ray - Blu-ray Forum

okay so I was walking around in Blockbuster last night checking out the blu-rays and what do my wandering eyes see?! The hulk on blu-ray (the ang le version of course) I was pretty shocked seeing as though all of the websites show it being released on Sep 16! anyone else see the blu-ray version. If so what do you guys think? I thought it kicked ass.

Yeah Blockbuster usually breaks the street date. To be honest, I don't even remember what happened in that movie? lol. I know I liked it when it came out (although I was like 13 or something). I haven't seen The Incredible Hulk though. How's the PQ/AQ on the Ang Lee version?

the PQ was a little above average I'd say not the greatest but not the worst. but the SQ was amazing. I still love that movie to this day. a must add to my collection.

The movie got mixed reviews when it was out in theaters but I actually enjoyed it.

It's pretty 'easy' to make a pure action movie with the HULK, given what kind of character he is. But I found the way Ang Lee approached the HULK, which was focussing more on his inner struggle, his inner psyche, was an original way to go about it and it helped define who HULK really is. Because that's exactly what the HULK was all about in the beginning of the comics: it was a phsysical manifestation of Banner's own insecurities and suppressed feelings in his subconscious. HULK was in a way the dark, hidden corners of Banner's mind, unleashed as a brute force of nature.

I feel the Ang Lee movie did a good job of going in that direction. It wasn't a perfect movie but it had the merit of not depicting HULK as a one-dimensional character.

In that way, I hope The Incredible HULK will not fall into the trap of going all action with no substance, and will stay true to the origin of the HULK. I think for one that Edward Norton is very well cast as Banner and hope they will give him the room to explore the deeper, inner struggle of Banner vs the HULK.

Anyway, I'm getting this movie on Blu-ray and perhaps also the Incredible Hulk, provided is offers more than mere action and "Hulk smash!" scenes.

One of my favorite comic movies. I gotta start going back to Blockbuster regularly! For now, my Amazon preorder will suffice.

I thought 'The Incredible Hulk' was much better, but I still enjoyed 'Ang Lee's version.

That scene where the Army is chasing Hulk through the desert is pretty damn cool

I'll def pick it up sooner or later
