Naked iPhone - Blu-ray Forum

Anyone else go naked with their iPhone? Got a 3g a few weeks back and I have been searching for a good case. Have yet to find anything worth owning. Either plastic overpriced junk or silicone with some weird design. All the reviews here and there, so many opinions.

So, I have decided to stay nekkid! Enjoy my phones beauty.

I've had it naked too since i got it for the same reason. Extra carefull with it LOL I don't even bother taking it out when I go out drinking.

Extra careful here too. Sits on my desk or in my shirt pocket/pants pocket when traveling about. I just can't bear to cover it's beauty!

That's why your phone NEEDS a case (especially the iphone). You shouldn't get too picky when it comes to the case (your phone life is in danger when it doesn't have one).

Yeah the silicone ones only cover the back and the sides. Nothing to cover the front. They got cheap ones that come in a pack of 3 for about $10 but those bubble up and have to be replaced. Seen that other one that is like around $30 that is practically scratch proof. I forgot what it's called, but that's the only promising one I seen. Only thing is you have to really carefull putting it on. Any kind of lint or spec is on the phone when putting it on and it'll be there. Huge annoyance for me.

I went naked (with a screen protector) on my old iPhone, but on the new 3G with the plastic back, I felt it needed a case.

I bought the Air Jacket because it's very thin, and it's clear so you can still see the back of the phone. It also comes with two screen protectors, so the only part of the phone that's not protected is the silver bezel. I like it, the only negative is every week or so I have to take it off and clean out the dirt that gets trapped in between the phone and the case.

I use the Invisible Shield, although only on the back. The material causes too much "drag" on the screen for my taste, and leaves the screen looking orange-peely. I love it on the back though. It adds a bit of texture for a little more grip, and keeps that chrome Apple all nice and shiny/scratch free. You can buy them at www.zagg.com, but Best Buy just started selling them not too long ago. It takes some patience to put on, but it's worth it. I used to use one of the anti-glare screen protectors that they sell at the Apple store, and I really didn't have but one complaint about it, and that's that it dulls the LCD ever so slightly, so it loses some of its "pop." However, the material is very smooth so your finger doesn't stick to it, and it DID do a good job of reducing glare.

Mine is naked at the moment. When I had the OG iphone I used the agent 18 case. I'll wait for that on the 3G before I get a shitty case.

I use the incase Slider case for my iPhone 3G now, I had it for my 1st gen iPhone as well and never had any problems with them regardless of me dropping them now and then

I was thinking of the Naked Case from Case-Mate. Not sure I like the black thing around the top cover though and the price tag is a bit high for a case.

I agree that a case uglies it up. Everyday when I get home and before I leave for the day I wipe it down with an eyeglass cleaning cloth. I had some of the protective screens by they did keep bubbling and once you put them on, it's like you freakin' need to do it in a complete dust-free environment because before it hitss the screen it grabs all the dust in the air.

Best case ever, I have dropped my phone a few times and they were big drops and nothing happened to the phone and the case still looks brand new, has both the hard latexy "condom" type shell for it along with a hard case that clips on as well if you like that. With that and a screen protector I dont think you can find a better way to protect the phone.
