I noticed today that my any links I've posted to articles, pictures, etc. at my Web site have been broken. The site is www.finishabasement.com, and it seems it contains a word that's been censored. Is 'base ment' (without the space) a bad word??? This would also happen to the word ads (because advertise ments (without the space) is censored to adverti*****ts) because it contains the same word. (the word for male bodily fluids).
I noticed in the FAQs it mentions that this edit is 'unintelligent'. I'll say! Can something be done to fix this edit? Like only looking for the word w/spaces before or after? Not any word that contains that character string? This is censorship gone wild. ![]() Last edited by rogman; 09-11-2008 at 04:51 PM. |

I hope they fix it soon, because it also makes Blu-ray.com look bad to search engines, etc. Google will try to follow all those links during its next crawl, and broken links will penalize the site... Looks like it's fixed now! ![]() Last edited by rogman; 09-11-2008 at 04:52 PM. |
