I got my hands on the new off road atv racer Pure today and boy is it good. Pure is by far the best best off road racer I have ever played (sorry Motorstorm). It has a fluid gameplay and smooth graphics. The best thing about Pure is the insane stunts one can perform in mid-air. I also love the atv customization tools. If you guys need a great racer or even a race game to play over the weekends, Pure will keep you entertained until Motorstorm 2 comes out. I would give it a solid A-.

Cool I played the demo and it was amazing I have not played motostorm so I was not sure how it stacked up against it thanx for the info!

i'm glad you enjoy it but motorstorm and pure are still two different things. Pure , from the demo, gave me an impression of SSX and i loved ssx. Pure looked gorgeous and seemed like it had a good soundtrack as well. That being said ....

Pure doesn't have splitscreen , the single player is apparently short and there seems to be ZERO interaction between players like fighthing or pushing them off track compared to motorstorm (which is one of the things that's going to make motorstorm very fun)

I like Motorstorm and will surely purchase Motorstorm 2 but Pure is a whole new game with new stuff that nobody has ever brought up in a next fen racer before.

That game does not appeal to me in any particular way but if you guys are raving about it then I think I'm going to try the demo.

That's not exactly praise, is it? I would hope this game is more than enough to hold you over for a few weeks.

Well I was talking with respect to a general audience. I may keep some hooked for months or some for weeks. Multiplayer is superfun.

Played the demo and I gotta say the control scheme with the building of power, etc., for tricks and using different buttons at different levels is awesome.

It's a great new, and fresh, take on setting up tricks.

The lack of split screen and such (as well as short campaign) is disheartening. I figured there would be much 'violence' since it's Disney branded (as opposed to one of their other brand names reserved for such things).

The lack of split-screen is the only thing keeping me from buying it....now, it will have to wait till its discounted...

No excuse.

Look for a decent paying job on campus. I did some research work for one of my business professors, literally from my couch, while watching football each weekend. I was paid about $16/hr to make spreadsheets full of football recruiting statistics.

Not very exciting, but I set my own hours, and worked from my apartment.

Find out which professors have gotten research grants recently, and see if they need help with anything.

I have Pure also, while it can't touch motorstorm because the maps are so small and short, it's still a great game doing lots of tricks. All this game is, is a complete copy of ps2 ea big freekstyle but pure has atv's, but the maps are alot shorter, and their is no announcer going crazy on what moves you are performing like on freekstyle. While the game isn't going to touch motorstorm 2, it will defiantly hold me over until then.
