DVDs are not allowed under letterpost anymore

In the Winter and Spring there was an update allowing DVDs from Canada to the US be sent as Letterpost.
Regulations have changed.

I was looking at the canadapost.ca today: cut and pasted:

Unacceptable Items

The following items may not be sent as Letter-post (U.S.A. and International):


goods
film, audio or video recording (diskettes, CD, DVD)




Seems I have been lucky to get away with Letterpost.
Light Packet Rates:

<100g=1.92 +GST=$2.02
101g=4.00 +GST=$4.20 Ouch 208% of 100g Do not let them charge you Small Packet which is $5.05, 250% of 100g Light Packet .( This is if you do not go above 2cm thick.)
