Default Is the UK version of the Matrix 1 Blu-Ray censored like the DVD was ?

The DVD release had the head butts exchanged between Smith and Morpheus and Neo and Smith cut out (taking the directors commentary with it as it would have been out of sync) in favour of a 15's cert.

Its sad the Uk film board find headbutting somebody warrants an 18's cert but shooting them in the back of the head at point blank range (Trinity on the roof top after Neo almost gets killed) is just fine. Ive noticed a few people on Amazon got the UK version as it didnt include the Animatrix and was much cheaper, were the headbutt's cut out ?.

thanks in advance, want the full version of the first movie and can live without the Animatrix and all those extras on Blu Ray, seeing as I already have them on DVD and am double dipping as it is.

I was wondering that....i found this on lovefilm heres what they said about The Matrix

"CUTS: Dangerous fighting techniques (BBFC cuts - 15 cert required) - Numerous headbutts during fight sequences have been cut - mainly in a scene in which Neo and Agent Smith have a punch up. UNCUT DVD: Any Region but U.K. In 2006 the BBFC finally passed the film uncut, however i am unsure which U.K release is the uncut version. Sky movies, and Channel Five have shown the uncensored version on U.K t.v. The film is due for release on Blu-ray in the U.K, and will be uncut, as it will be the same transfer as the U.S one."

As I'm only paying £14.99 for all 3 Matrix films on Blu I'm not that bothered if they're cut or uncut

If you don't mind me asking, where was that from? I'm currently looking at picking it up, but was leaning towards ordering the US version from MovieTyme, as the cost of the trilogy + Animatix put them about the same. However, £14.99 for the trilogy ( and the fact the UK edition is uncut ) makes importing fairly pointless.

Thanks

I belive there was an error in pricing on a site, and was quickly changed, but the store said it would honor that price for those who pre-orderd at £14.99.

if i remember this correctly that is.

I am very bothered about it, especially if they get lazy and leave the commentary out again, but not enough to splash out for US box set. Im doubling up as it is and only want the 3 main movies (though Final Flight of Osiris would have been nice on Blu).

Does anybody have the Uk release ?, I know it looks like there uncensored but want to be 100% sure before splashing out.

Ah, OK. It looks like I'm back to importing the 5 disk set.
