Default PS3 Region - DTS Query - Advice
Hi all, I'm new round here so break me in gently.

being a big movie fan i've fully invested into a quiality movie viewing setup within my budget. I'm now the proud own of a PS3 after much deliberating.

The PS3 accompanies my 42" Samsung Plasma screen and 5.1/DTS Surround Sound system. Connectedc via HDMI and Optical to the Surround Sound system.

Anyway, PS3 is the 80gb version from Game. Can anyone confirm what the region restrictions for Blu-Ray and DVD are? I have some Region 1 dvd's and would like to know if I can import different blu-rays?

My Surround Sound System is old, bought in 2001, it has DTS. how does this work with Blu-ray DTS-HD and DTS-ES etc? Do I still get better quality but with some channels missing, slightly confused about this.


FYi - most wanted Blu-Ray movies..... Jaws, Saving Private Ryan, Jaws, Jurassic park, Jaws oh and did I mention Jaws?
