Default Wangan Midnight

One for the Genki/Shutokou Battle/shiny car fans here:

WANGAN MIDNIGHT

I knew something was missing from PS3's Japanese launch.

I always like Tokyo Extreme racer but I didn't like the last 2 drifting ones.

Edit: After watching the trailer it looks like it's going back to the old way, I'm going to get this game for sure.

Go Tokyo Extreme Racer "Midnight"!

This is not the Maximum Tune version so NO SALE from me

Besides, WM: Maximum Tune is all always about playing it in the video arcades/amusement centers/FECs/game center/whatever you wanna call it.

Other than that, I don't see any console capable of replicating the FULL experience when played on an actual game cabinet.

So, I'm gonna skip this title.

Isn't the arcade game a Namco title?

Yup. Bandai-Namco (since they've merged into one company)

But, the arcade cabinet experience is better. I'll be skipping this title.

But for some people in the US there isn't even an arcade near them with this game in it. I haven't ever seen it.

There are quite a lot of it in North America.

Most of them are in California, Nevada, New York and Chicago. In Canada, these arcade machines are sprouting everywhere (E-Spot has one of the most players of it in the Vancouver area).

So even in North America, the arcade version SHOULDN'T be hard to find.

The original game was still from Namco so I can't see as to why KOJ would pick it up....

Definitely strange.

Definitely wierd that this title is showing on a Konami site.

Genki is developing it, I guess Konami is publishing it then although I thought Genki does their own stuff.

BTW guys, this is NOT the Namco arcade game - Genki does the Shutoku racing series of games (probably been on a ton of different consoles) and this looks like they have the license and are doing their own thing. Unless there is some really wierd threesome going on here...
