Default TV, HDMI cord or my PS3?

Check this out: I can stick a PS2 game in my PS3 and play it, but after I take the game out ,my connection on the HDMI channel is lost and the only way(I've tried all troubleshooting steps and manually resetting to HDMI) I can restore it is to unplug my TV and plug it back in. Is this a problem with my TV, HDMI cord or my PS3?

What kind of TV is it? you should search the official Playstation forums they have all sorts of threads on HDMI combatibility and TV's, I can say on my SXRD I dont' have that problem. I also have a Monster HDMI cable.

Sounds like the TV is losing synch for some reason. Very weird... I assume the TV doesn't do this when playing a proper PS3 game, right?

It doesn't sound like it's a cable issue but rather a handshake issue with the TV.

This is weird...it could be anything...i would stop the PS2 game after i am done..eject it..shut off the PS3 (the back power on/off button), then turn it back on...see if that will work? or try another HDMI cable. Best of luck to you.

It's an RCA 52" DLP. It only happens after a PS2 game has been played. I've tried two cables so it's either the PS3 or the TV. I'm leaning towards thinking it's the TV since it works after I unplug and then plug it back in.
