Cheapest Reciever That can input audio through hdmi - Blu-ray Forum

I have a PS3 and want a receiver that can input audio through hdmi so I can get the HD audio. Any help is appreciated.

the 2 cheapest will be the Onkyo 606 little over $370 and the Sony 720 about $250. Both will pass LPCM from your PS3 and give you the HD audio, check out amazon.com

I'd say you get more for your money with the onkyo though.

Callas nailed it. I was fortunate enough to snag an open box Harman Kardon AVR-247 from Fry's for $158.42. However, the above two are the cheapest. You can often find Sony STR-DG710's on Flea Bay for well under $200. Be warned that the STR-DG710 is 6.1 not 7.1.

If you can find an Onkyo 605 it's great. I got mine from jr.com new for 299.00

The Yamaha RX-V463 is another one.

$300 at Crutchfield You may be able to get it for less elsewhere.
