Default Wich file system?

Will it use ISO9660 like CD & DVD or another one? Or it 'll not necessary like DVD-RAM? The matter with ISO9660 is that it could not contain files larger than 2 Go.

It is my understanding that they will use UDF v2.5 for all BD formats. Here's a photo from a presentation supporting this:
http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/av/do...803/blu_07.jpg

"UDF is practically the successor of ISO 9660, supporting larger files, larger disk and more information about individual files and folders. It includes support for special file properties, such as Apple's File Types, Resource Forks, and other OS-specific data."

You can find more information about UDF at:

Well, thanks 4 those clear answers. In fact, I use DivX & sometimes I get files larger than 2Go( including 5.1 or DTS audio files). I do prefer conserve the best quality I can. I read that it 'll support MPG4, will it be the same for DivX? Thanks, Fabian.

That's a very interesting question. I think that DivX uses the MPEG-4 Simple Profile, while the Blu-ray players/recorders will support MPEG-4 Advanced Profile (AVC). I'm not sure if the support for MPEG-4 AVC means that they will support MPEG-4 Simple Profile as well. It's also possible that DivX will upgrade their codec to MPEG-4 AVC in the future.
