Hi Folks, this is my first post here and I have a problem.
I have a Sony BDS300 and I have NEVER performed a firmware upgrade. I believe mine is still version 2.0. When I played Iron Man for the first time, it took a long time to load and I could not access the film by hitting the PLAY button. I would hit it, it would hi-light and nothing. I would have to go to "chapter menu", choose the opening and then, it would play with no problems at all. Now, tonight... I put in Sleeping Beauty and saw all the previews (they looked fantastic ![]() I ordered the firmware disc from Sony after trying to make my own and the player saying that it couldn't read the disc. Anyone experience this or have any advice? Thanks, Bob |

I tried on my own. I put in a CD-R and it asked if I wanted to "burn Files to Disk, burn movie to cd/dvd with "power2go", create my own disk with Nero StartSmart, make data disc with nero express, etc...
I choose burn files to disc. Then I dragged the ISO file in and finalized. ![]() |

OK... the firmware worked.
![]() Sleeping Beauty loaded only after a minute or two. Iron Man - the play button worked. ![]() BUT - On my receiver... it does not go into 5.1 or Dolby (the little blue lite doesn't go on either). It says PCM 48 and only the L-C-R and the SW are highlighted. This is the same on both Sleeping B and Iron Man. What happened??? ![]() |
