Yeah, good idea to give Matrix the coffeebook table treatment. I'll prefer that one over the so-called trilogy.

They have a huge number of titles out, and, before Iron Man, the top seller and most of the rest of the top 5 or so were all Warner Brothers Blu-rays. People here may have issues with their lossy audio habits, but their discs still sell very well.

Well, that settles it. I'm delurking and officially making the transition to blu-ray collector. Damn it.

I really had myself convinced that I was gonna just be happy with dvds, but the thought of Amadeus in beautiful 1080p (and with LotR on the horizon for next year) is just too much.

At the risk of alienating myself to all of you who don't like them, I'm really liking the "book" style cases. The standard blu-ray packaging is one of the reasons I've been reluctant to buy the format (I just don't like the blue cases). I do hope that when LotR comes out, it has something resembling the Extended Edition dvd packaging.

Just beware that Amadeus may not be lossless audio- that's the current rumor floating around though Bill over at The Digital Bits hasn't been able to confirm/debunk it.

No Digibooks for me. I'll wait for a standard release.

Must this come up EVERYTIME the Matrix movies are mentioned in a thread. MY GAWD it's so annoying! So you don't like all three movies, so what! Nobody cares! Get over yourselves! [/rant]

As for the digibooks, I think it's good to see the manufacturers expanding beyond the standard cases for the collectors. I'm liking it.
