Default Any Layer Cake BR reviews out there?

Hey, I have Layer Cake on regular DVD, and I am waiting to see reviews for it on BR before I get it again. I rented Training Day and Memento on BR, and while Training Day had improvements in some areas, I thought that, overall, neither movie warranted the upgrade. I really like Layer Cake, but I'm not upgrading unless the PQ is worth it.

If anyone's watched this or knows where reviews are online, please tell me or point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Oddly, Sony has sent us everything they're releasing this month except Layer Cake so far. If it doesn't look great, it'll be the only title they release this month on BD that doesn't.

Yea, I have high expectations for Big Fish, especially with how deep the colors in that film are.

I watched it today. The uncompressed PCM sounded great. Some shots were great on the transfer but on small detail I noticed some problems with small detail shots that I hadn't noticed on other recent Sony Blu-ray transfers. It looked great for some shots & some shots it just looked okay.

I'd give it a 3 1/2 for transfer & a 4 for audio.

Other recent Sony transfers have been better but this wasn't a new release so I'm not sure what condition the original transfer was in.

I watched it on a 65" Pioneer Elite Pro730HDI.

Maybe that's why they didn't send out copies for review.

I listened to it on my Panny analogs and thought the audio was great. I really enjoyed the movie.

Layer cake review on HIGHDEFDigest.com quoted sentence "While you might not expect it from a mid-tier release like 'Layer Cake,' this 50GB dual layer, 1080p, MPEG-2 transfer of 'Layer Cake' is nearly perfect from the titles to the credits."

Now i'm just asking who is this guy there called "Kenneth S. Brown" ,he seems are reviewing Blu-ray fair enough.

Another Gorgeous presentation from SONY.

In conclusion i can see very clear AVC and MPEG2 are champions codecs,Again this is a great news in the face of HD-DVD once these codecs are optimised for Blu-Ray they can do miracles for blu-ray FANS ..

Enjoy it My friends.....
