Being There Feb 3rd 2009 - Blu-ray Forum

WB announced BEING THERE for release Feb 3rd as was noted last week on this site.

DVDactive.com now has the release details and COVER ART is very cool.

Warner Home Video has announced DVD ($19.96) and Blu-ray ($28.99) releases of Being There which stars Peter Sellers, and Shirley Maclaine. This "Deluxe Edition" of the Hal Ashby directed film will be available to own from the 3rd February. As well as a remastered presentation, the DVD will include a Memories From Being There featurette with Illeana Douglas (granddaughter of Melvyn Douglas). The Blu-ray release will include that, along with additional scenes/outtakes, and an alternate ending.

Let's just hope the Circle type sticker on the BLU RAY cover is that a sticker and not burned into the cover art if so that one will be horrible.

I have yet to see this film. So needless to say, I am greatly looking forward to seeing it.

For years, I was trying to find the piano soundtrack to the movie...Until I turned on the classical station and found out it was a collection of Gnossiennes by Erik Satie (or reasonable imitation thereof).

The "other" reason for watching it is for what Peter Sellers could've done if he ever became a sane actor.
