Unhappy No BD Black Friday Deals Yet......

Obviously, it's still a little early, but I was checking out some of the early Black Friday deal postings http://www.black-friday.net/ and BB, CC, Target, and others already have some DVD's listed, but no BD's yet.

They may not be included, since BD is a high-end product, and not necessarily something the vendors are trying to offload.

But I'm still hoping that will change in the next month.....

don't know if blu-ray movies are enough to make me want to wake up and deal w/those crowds that day.

i worked for best buy for 6 years and hated working that day. the line outside the store ran about 200 yards that one year. people yelling @ me for "trying" to get to the front of the line when all i was doing was going to work. i stood on top of one of the ladders and just watched as people filed in. never seen a crowd like that.

Last year was actually the first time I ever went out on Black Friday. My local BB was great! I got in, got my items, and was checked out within 10 minutes - I'm not kidding! (It was around 9 AM though, I'm not waiting outside for it to open.)

I then spent 90 minutes trying to find a parking space at CC and forcing my way through the store. Didn't even buy anything - wasn't worth it.

+1 that would make sense with the HD DVD player pricing. plus, they dont' even carry those in BBY anymore do they?

no way that Best Buy list is for 08. There is not one deal on that list of a product that came out after nov. 07. on top of the fact they have deals of products they don't even carry anymore (ie HD DVD A3 player).

You know, I think you're right. I even noticed they had the Casino Royale DVD on SALE for $15.00. Yippee.

They must have just changed their headers to say 2008.....but the data hasn't changed yet. Good catch!

They havn't recieved any BF ads yet except for the 3 that they show when you go to the site. When November rolls around, they'll start posting them as soon as they get them and taking some down (when perticular retailers find out that thier ad is posted, they contact the site owner and request for it to be pulled).

Last year my friend and I went to Staples on BF and pretty much got all we were looking for and then we went to Target and it was a war zone (we were going to buy a bunch of DVD's they had on sale but left them due to insane length of the lines in the registers. We then went to FYE (we were there before they opened and there were only a few people there) and to my amazement, they actually had the Nintendo wii in stock at retail with no bundle. So obviously I bought one (and only one) to sell but decided to keep it.

Do they run out on Black Friday? Aren't they overstocked with peacoats all year round?

I have no idea, but I saw it this weekend and fell in love. So I am hoping it will be on sale on Black Friday for me to get...if not I will pay full price.

I need it for my Wisconsin trip

I went for the first time last year. I didn't go early though. I went around 10 am and still found plenty of good deals on stuff. It wasn't crazy with people either too.
