Default Halloween '07 - Impossible to find!

OMG! I went to 2 Best Buys, 2 Wal Marts, 2 Targets, Circuit City, BJ's, Blockbuster, and Suncoast Video. NONE of them had Halloween ('07). The two Best Buy's said that they had 6 copies, but they weren't on store shelves nor in the back. So it was too strange for 2 Best Buy's to have the same problem so they told me it was most likely a computer error. I am so pissed! No stores had this title! Was it post-poned or recalled or something. Usually I can find it somewhere, but NO ONE had it.

I saw that Halloween '07 was available at Fry's electronics. But I bought 7 Bond films today (6 of them for $16.99 a piece!) plus The Incredible Hulk! I had to give my wallet a break and skip Halloween. I think it's an interesting film if not really a good one.

Best Buy has been pissing me off lately. They didn't have The Thing blu-ray a few weeks ago. Also, the didn't carry the new Hitchcock DVD's (I know, I know, but these are GREAT films in ANY format!) of Rear Window, Vertigo or Psycho! Touch of Evil was also MIA! That's just sad...

By the way, I didn't see From Dusk till Dawn in the new release section. It also disappeared from the new release section here at Blu-Ray.com. Did they pull this Blu ray at the last minute?

The documentary is in HD (AVC, encoded @ HD bitrate), but a lot of the footage is standard definition footage.

I picked up Halloween (07) on blu-ray today similarly for the documentary and also for the commentary as I've read reviews of the DVD that have said the commentary is smart and insightful, regardless of what you think of the film.

I also didn't care too much for the film, but the 4 1/2 hour doc is really mindblowing, as it really keeps track of every single day of production. For someone like me, who is obsessed with movie-making, the documentary is well worth the money. You can learn just as much (and sometimes more) from the making of a bad movie than you can from a good movie.

Well you can learn how not to make crap by avoiding what not to do, but you'll be more successful learning from a master like Spielberg on how to make great films.

I agree...this documentary has really drawn me in. I don't hate the movie, it's at least watchable. If edited properly, it could have been a pretty descent film. If you check at the fanedit site, there is actually a really well done cut, but enough about that. Being a 'weenie, I couldn't pass up buying this on blu-ray, especially at $25.

actually honestly, i have Never heard of Hastings. And you might wanna double check your info because NETFLIX also has the 2nd disc....of the FIRST release! Can you confirm that its the NEW edition which has a completely different Disc 2?

And heres one other thing. I WANTED TO OWN THE DOC!!!

I dont know why you have such a problem with this. Sorry that Docs arent your thing. You make it seem like one of them cheated on you in the past and now its your mission to convince all others not to be with them.

Ive watched the Doc on Devils Rejects twice...
Ive watched my docs on the Alien Quadrilogy twice...
Ive watched Hearts of Darkness 3 times...
Ive watched The Fly docs twice.

I enjoy them!

Deal with it for christs sake.

Maybe next time you dont agree with something you could just say it like a normal human being instead of saying such a** things like "an insult to intelligent people". Come down out of the clouds and off your throne and join us mere mortals down here on earth.

hehe. I'm not hating on anyone. I'm just saying I don't see paying 20-30 bucks for that kind of documentary. Should rent it from a public library for free. If it's on the dvd edition get it at the library or whatever and **** it.

EDIT: Scratch that. I might buy it a documentary disc if it was of one of my favorite movies... but not something I hate. Then again if I was rich, f**k it, I'd buy it all just to have it.

We'd get to see more docs added to releases in the vein of "Michael Lives" or "Dangerous Days." And since I brought it up anyways, I would have happily paid just to watch Dangerous Days as well. It's the length of a feature film, and in many ways, just as if not more entertaining.

Dangerous Days was an AMAZING doc. Will definitely get multiple viewings by me.
