PS3 and "DOLBY DIGITAL" - Blu-ray Forum

How do you know which PS3 games have the 5.1 Surround Sound tracks? Most labels just say "DOLBY DIGITAL"

If they have that label, does it mean that they are just 2.0 digital?

your receiver should let you know how many speakers are being used....

I seriously doubt the ps3 is releasing alot of 2.0 games

2.0 on psn maybe, but all disc based games are 5.1 at least. you can get 6.1 and 7.1 pcm on some ps3 games.

Every game I have that says Dolby Digital is 5.1 surround.

i haven't seen 1 playstation 3 game that is 2.0...
i don't recall seeing too many PS2 games either for that matter. most, if not all games are 5.1.
even the PSN titles, have yet to run into a 2.0.
