Sony is releasing the 2006 version of Pink Panther to Blu-Ray 1/20/09 with a MSRP of $28.95

Great news for fans of this movie (not me). Personally, I'd love the entire cartoon shorts collection on Blu.

I saw one here on the website the original pink panther is being released on January 27th - its posted here in the movie section.

I'm not a Pink Panther person but still wanted to give out the info.

I'm watching it on TBS HD right now and it looks pretty dang good for TBS. Heck, even the DVD even looked alright. The Blu-ray should look great!

I doubt I will pick this one up, but I do enjoy the 'I Would like to buy a Hamburger' scene

I saw this movie on DVD and personally I thought it was an insult to the work created by Peter Sellers and Blake Edwards. Sellers will always be the one and only inspector Clouseau

Steve Martin is a has been who will take any role he can get these days...

How about the entire collection on blu? I've got the dvd 6 disk set from '05....I have a feeling there will be a box set coming down the road.

As for Steve Martin...it was all right...I haven't watched it in over a year. He's no Sellers.

This was on TV last night and I tried to watch it, but it just didn't work for me. I like Steve Martin movies but not in this role.

I personally prefer the Peter Sellers Pink Panther movies and will wait for those. I mean take a look at these collages:

I'll probably get the 2006 version of The Pink Panther, but I'm looking forward to all of the Peter Sellers Pink Panther movies the most on Blu-ray.
