I was looking at getting this on blu, but i notice that there is no review on this site about it. For those of you who have already purchased this movie, please advise on your opinion of the PQ/AQ vs other blu's.

My recomendation, don't buy it! ANother title for this movie could have been Braveyank....

THE PATRIOT is available for around $14.95 at most places--
the PQ is terrific and so is the movie--- most anybody I've ever talked to
has at least liked this movie--- I'm surprised by the last 2 posts.
I completely reccomend the movie

I'd recommend the movie as well. I have it on DVD and plan on upgrading it soon. Plus it really cheap at most places (Amazon), so it's really quite the steal. Surprised as well the 1st two responses.

This movie sucks and I hated it.

Although I have to say if you buy it, you won't be disappointed by PQ. Or AQ, for that matter. Only saw it once, but I remember the battle scenes looked and sounded spectacular.

I've always enjoyed the movie, i was only wondering how good the transfer was.

Excellent historical (not accurate) epic I love those kinds of movies.I don't own it yet but it is a solid movie perfect for home theater.Lots of battles with cannon fire and a good musical score with great pq what else can a guy ask for?

No offense to the site reviewers out there but they seem to rate the films them self rather highly a lot of the time. The patriot was no where near a 4 star film.

It focused to much on characters that where not critical to the story. These characters at best where mediocre and wasted so much screen time. Dalton and Gibson where good when they where on screen.

But those pointless gaps that dragged the movie on relay spoiled what they brought to the movie. It's a 3 star at best.

If your looking for something just for PQ then yeah buy it at least that flawless.

I am on the recommend side of the fence. The Patriot is a great BD at a great price. Don't miss it.

Will never quite see the movie the same way again with the death of Heath Ledger

I have THE PATRIOT on Blu-ray. It's a damn fine example of great cinema. I can't recommend it enough.
