Default Anybody vote through the mail?

Not asking for any political talk here, but I'm wondering if anybody voted through the mail.

The reason is, my wife and I both ordered our ballots through the mail at the same exact time. We get them, open them up, fill them out, and she sets hers out on the counter to be mailed. I go to do the same and see that mine requires postage. I tell my wife we're going to have to get some stamps, she replies with, "Why, you don't have to pay to mail these?" Sure enough, hers is postage paid, mine requires a buck to send it out. Everybody else I've asked who's done this got free postage. I even asked the postman if he's ever seen one that requires paid postage, and he said all the ones he's seen have been postage paid. What's everybody else's experience with this? Not really that big of a deal, but it kind of irritated me that everybody else's, especially my wife's that was ordered at the same exact moment, was free to mail. And I'm out of stamps and hate buying them

Over here when we vote we do on computers with a card but not at home as we have to go to a voting place. A weird specific of our voting system is that voting is mandatory.

just curious, why is it the same few people ask the same political oriented questions. You have been here long enough to know better. No political or religion discussions is a pretty clear rule regardless of what aspect you wanna discuss

I got an infraction from wickywoo for asking how people were gonna spend their stimulus checks, I would love that explained

When I vote, I vote in person. Where everyone can see me. For smug showoff value.

I wish I could this, or knew about it before. Because the lines are so damn long.

I got my mailin last weekend and sent it Monday. I also had to pay postage. I figured it would be free, but what's 59 cents to have the ability not to wait in long lines.

I'm 1500 miles away, kinda hard to make that line. But if I was there I would still mail it in. That is just one less person infront you while you wait in line.

Besides, I can check online right now, and see that my ballot has been received and accounted for at the election center.

If you are really worried you could have sent it via verified mail.

Not really sure what you're referring to, as I've never posted a political topic or taken part in one, because I know they're off limits and I really don't care. Hence, the topic posted has nothing to do with politics, and is in regard to postage re: voting through the mail. Did you even read the first post? Crazy that it hasn't gotten deleted, either . . . back at ya.

I voted by mail all through college and grad school. In fact the first time I actually voted in person was last year . I don't remember ever having to pay for postage on my ballot unless I mailed it in myself (due to ruined materials).
