Default Blockbuster getting Blu Rays early???

I have been to Blockbuster a few times over the last few months and I have noticed that sometimes that Blockbuster stores have blu ray releases a few days early and they sell them for $19.99 for the few days before they are actually released.

I have seen this happen a few times with Knocked Up, American Gangster, 40 Year Old Virgin, and Casino Royal SE. Has anybody else noticed that?

19.99 brand new? if so, that's not bad at all. only pennies more than amazon.

my blockbuster would never do that, the guy that is in charge there won't put up with any junk

I tried renting a new blu-ray release the day before it came out (it was late at night, close enough!) and he rolled his eyes at me and started informing me of their policies and what not

Of course its sharp. It was shot with 65mm film. It just has the ability to look even better if it wasn't DNR'd to death.

its because they aren't very clear when it comes to releases of older titles on blu. so street dates get broken all the time.

all video chains get movies early, but they can't sell them early.
although its not tracked very well, games on the other hand can mean big law suits.
