What happens when a thread disappears? - Blu-ray Forum

I was replying to a post in a thread in the Technology & News section about RDM and the whole thread just disappeared for no apparent reason. What was the reason for the deletion and is it being merged with another thread about RDM or are we not allowed to talk about other technologies related to Blu-ray? Should it have been in off-topic? If it shouldn't have been in that section why wasn't it moved instead of being deleted?

when a thread disappears, it means its taken offline or deleted

It was the same way when HDDVD was around and xbox discussions are handled the same way from what I have seen

Are we allowed to talk about standard definition DVD but just never allowed to discuss other high definition formats, or are we only allowed to talk about Blu-ray discs and no other format (dvd or other high def tech that may be being talked about elsewhere)?

Jokes aside, you can talk about whatever you want, just realize that sometimes threads are moved, deleted, etc. based on the content of the thread. In order to keep the forum better organized, mods may rename, move, delete, etc threads. If you're concerned about what is OK to discuss read the rules for the forum and each section or PM a mod.
