what can I do with socom?

From playing it once, and reading reviews, I dont even want to open the copy I bought with the headset. IMHO the game is not something i want to play (maybe ONLY due to server side issues, maybe not).

So, the package says not for resale ( mine is still sealed). Can it be sold to gamestop or something?

Anyone have any idea how to get rid of it for money?

You could say the headset doesn't work then exchange for a sealed one. Go back a different day and return/exchange for somehting else.

I'm in the same boat, I bought mine, didn't open it, just used the mic. I have had mine up for sale on the forums for $30, then $25, no bites. I want the mic, just not the game. Only reply was someone that wanted it only if the headset was included

So have you not tried the game more than once?!!? Seriously you are giving the game one chance (While the servers were messed up!!) and not even trying it again.

I don't mean to go off on you but you need to try the game again. I play almost every night, and the game is NOTHING like it was the first week it came out. The servers are much more stable and the game is a blast to play.

Unless you are just plain not a fan of 3rd person shooters/the Socom series, you need to give it another try. Add me and we'll play some time

He might not like tactical shooters. Servers are fine for me, so that's not an issue (1.20 fixed it up).

And 1.30 is coming soon.

Anyway, you could try the defective tactic or resell on forum/ebay/etc. The game's value is lower right now because a lot of people bought it for the mic only, so there's a lot of product floating around.

On eBay you can find used & new copies for like $15 (no mic). I actually bid on a 2nd copy of the game for $10 (figured I'd give it to my cousin).

I think GameStop drastically lowered what they'd "pay" too.

resale means you bought it then you go off and sale the game by itself its one package, its specifying you can not sell the individual peices by themselfs, you must sell the entire package at least thats what they want you to do.

Say for example I work for "abc company" and I sell a game that also has a disc full of demos I toss the words not for resale, meaning Im telling you not to go off and sell that disc, you can sell it with the entire game but not the demo disc.

Your right for not opening it. Played it for an Hour and that was a wasted hour of my life that I can NEVER EVER EVER get back. Sad. Anyway, I threw mine on Ebay and got $30 for it.

Once was enough for two reasons.

I dont have the time to relearn a new system (ie, every online game has a curve that is made worse by better players) when I am in the middle of home beta, Fallout 3, Dead Space, LBP etc.


So, I am not interested. I gave it one chance and that was enough for me. I was not impressed. More me and the plethera of other games than Socom.

yes you can in fact sell it to places like Gamestop, Gamecrazy, etc. my store already has a used copy of Socom on PS3
