I was entertained by a good many of his books - (the movies didn't always live up to the written word).

Some great stories that have become part of pop culture came from this guy.

So sad. He was one of the first authors I consistently enjoyed reading in middle school and beyond. So many classic books that would become movies.

He was a Hollywood giant, literally and figuratively speaking. He will definitely be missed. I'm actually quite shocked by this news as well.

Wow that sucks. MC was a very talented author (I own I think about 5 of his books). I was really looking forward to more of his work down the line. Very tragic.

Unbelievably depressing. I've looked at him as an inspiration for years; he is the same height as I am and we both prefer to use our brain rather than our body to make a name for ourselves.
