Angry Bad news for those who live in Los Angeles, Sales Tax will jump to 10.25% Next Year !

Probably i need to do more shopping online like Amazon to avoid the crazy high sales tax in Los Angeles, all those tax will hurt business because people will just find another way to get the stuff without paying tax like online. Thanks to Gov. Arnold.

The Gov. is trying to raise the sales tax across the state 1 1/2 % BUT L.A. citizens just voted themselves a 1/2% sales tax increase making it 8 3/4% and if the Gov. gets his way, another 1 1/2% will go on top of that.

Voters are sure dumn. The keep voting the same people in year in and year out and they also approve any and every bond that comes down the pike and wonder why their taxes are going up. Dumn, very dumn.

If different = worse, then yes Arnie, you are correct.

They spend, spend and spend without any regards to the consequences.

I suggest firing them all and vote in new inexperienced people. They could not do any worse then the experienced ones.

More bad news:
1) Lakers couldn't get it done.
2) Dodgers neither.
3) Californians will experience the most devastating earthquake any time from here on out.
4) You call that a hot dog.
5) I know all about the overcrowding & under-funding of your schools.

There's a bright side, can't think of any.

No, the problem is even bigger than that. California spends a fortune per child for schools but we are almost on the bottom in regards to their education.

Once again, fire them all

How are the Dodgers going to get Manny Ramirez now? With all the crazy sales tax he will be paying he will want to be paid higher than A-Rod now.

I think i has something to do we had too many illegal, we know we provided them free public school, school lunch etc.. all this cost a lot of money, there's reason why other state has no issue as California face, they had much tougher law against illegal. California should learn from Arizona, terminate all business license if they hire illegal.

Why is anyone complaining? Increasing taxes ONLY hurts the 5% of the people who are wealthy.

Sales tax hurts everyone who buys anything. You know the difference.

Fortunately, I'm close enough to San Bernardino county that's where all my purchasing is going to be.

Hopefully that State sales tax increase is defeated, though.

But imagine how much good your State could do with even a 1% sales tax and the revenue generated from such.

They are extending the subway over the next few years so that eventually it hits Westwood.

The stupid thing is, for the longest time, there were tracks that ran the full length from downtown to the beach along Santa Monica Blvd. They tore the tracks out and built underground.
