USA Matrix 10th Anniversary Digi-Book Release 3/31/2009

They just released the box with all 3 not even 3 or 4 months ago. Now in the insert catalogue along with LOTR. There is Matrix 10 Anniverary. Why and what is that and is it even nessisary

it's probably talking about the first matrix movie which is getting individually released soon (along with all the others i'm guessing?)

As far as I know it's a digibook release of the first film individually. No idea if it's different than the one releases a bit ago.

Unnecessary for you maybe. But some people don't want the entire box set - only the first film.

I only want the first film and if it's a digibook that would go nice beside my poltergeist on my shelf. So for me something like this would work out nice.

What's a guy gotta do to get just The Matrix, in regular packaging, in a normal edition?

I want the three movies, I just didn't care for Animatrix.

Hey, at least you have the option of printing out some artwork and slapping it in a case for a decent price. I just want the films themselves without the other discs of crap I couldn't care less about, but will cost me ~$25-$40. I'm still conflicted on whether to buy the box set or the first individual and hope they release the second and third later on.

I only like the first four... and animation wise only the first is really impressive. The rest feel artsy in a bad or unnecessary way.

Count me as +1 for The Matrix digibook. They'll join the Bonnie and Clyde, How the West Was Won and Dirty Harry digibooks on my BD shelf, not to mention my James Bond steelbooks from Best Buy, my Target-exclusive hardcover book packaging for Indiana Jones IV, and Target-exclusive Mark III Helmet packaging for Iron Man. Looking forward to the Amadeus digibook too.

Edited to add: Forgot to mention I passed on the The Ultimate Matrix Collection because I only want The Matrix, so Warner releasing it as a separate title is a good idea and a bonus in my opinion that it'll be a digibook. The second Matrix left no impression on me, and I never bothered to watch the third one.

I did see that a couple of people broke up the sets on eBay and sold the movies individually. I'm just going to wait for a normal release (if they ever do one) for just the first film and while I'm at it... I'm waiting for a normal release of Casablanca as well.

I just want the three films and nothing more. The studio is just trying to find multiple ways to squeeze coins out of us.

I have a feeling that Warner is going to hit the US public with multiple variations of the matrix trilogy. There will be so many version deluging us, it will be confusing.

I think waiting is the best tactic.

I thought I only wanted the 1st film, but I'm more than happy with the set after watching the 2nd and 3rd a second time.

Will the 10th anniversary edition be the same PQ and AQ as the movie in the box set?
