Question energy speakers

im debating whether to purchase:

-the lowest RC (RC 30)
-middle CF (cf 50)
-highest C (C 500)

im leaning more towards the RC 30 and CF 50,

my question though is...is it better to get the lowest in the reference line or to get the middle in CF series? in general which would sound better?

any comments are welcome and those with energy speakers feel free to voice your opinions

thanks

Have you listened to them?

This would be the first thing to do! After that you can determine which one you like the most... And while you're listening to speakers, be sure to try other brands as well...

By the way if you're planning on getting them from Futureshop, they often have sales on them so check the flyer every Friday.

Also since you're from Canada, you could also check out Axiom, they sell direct to the consumer and you can try them for 30-day. Also they have a program that gives you the opportunity to listen to Axiom speakers from current owners in your area.

All depends on what you hear from them. I found the RC30's lacking, and really enjoyed the C-500's so I got those.... If you bump up a notch, the RC50's are a great sounding Energy speaker...
Just give em a listen and try not to think of where the speaker lies in the reference line, just pick based on what your ears tell ya

Love the C-500s.

But I find you really need to match the center speaker up correctly. Just had to order a C-C100 center speaker from ebay to match up with my C-500 fronts. Couldn't find the C-C100 anywhere around me!!! So keep that in mind, I tried pairing the C-500s with the RC-Mini(goes with RC-Mini speakers) center and the CC-10(goes with the CF-30/50...) center, but wasn't happy with the results. My home theatre in is my basement rec room, a rather large room and the C-500s fill it nicely.
