Tom Petty Soundstage. Cancelled? - Blu-ray Forum

Has anyone heard any news about this release being delayed or cancelled?
Two days before release and now Amazon has it marked "Discontinued by Manufacturer", and Tower has a price of $99,999.88 on it.

Damn, I was planning on grabbing this too... Hopefully it's just a fluke before the release date... would be a shame to be so close and have it snatched away...

This sucks I was looking so forward to this release. I taped it on the HD music channel and it is fantastic. Got the DVD and the quality sucks. Hope it come back.

Is it gone forever or is this just a power play by the parties involved over money or production rights ect. It out on DVD what could be the problem?

Personally, I thought it was kind of a weak concert. Very few of his classics are played and it just seemed kind of bland. Mostly covers, which was disappointing.

The Stevie Nicks and Michael MacDonald Soundstage blu's are also worth picking up for 9.99 at Sears.

YES ! It was one of two reasons why I invested in a Blu Ray player ( the other was EASY RIDER of which I've owned every conceivable format of and saw twice in theatrical release 40 years ago).
Anywayz...yes, it's great ! I'm the type that ignores the 2.0 CDs they include in such packages preferring Surround mixes everytime.
It's not a very aggresive mix...my rear channels don't light up like they do with say, a DTS disc like Abraxas, but the clarity is pristine. I also have since gotten an individual Neil Young Blu Ray from Warners web site, since I already have others, and buying ARCHIVES would just give me too many duplicate discs. IT sounds great as well. So far they are my only two AUDIO only discs, and Neil's does have visuals.

My son had me borrow his Rambo (2008)...jeez...now THERE'S a great audio mix !!! 7.1 DTS HD I believe...very nice.

Try e-Bay, I picked it up for $12.99 a couple weeks ago to replace the DVD.

I don't know why they would cancel it.

Better hurry if you want to find it at Sears though. When I was in there a couple of weeks ago they were all $9.99 but they were also on clearance.
