I used to have a large desire for wireless. I wanted everything in my home to be connected wirelessly. Then I saw all the problems. It is so easy for a signal to drop when there is no physical connection. Not to mention that the physical connections are typically of greater speed than the wireless connections. Not always true, but when your gaming online, I can usually tell a difference.

The major drawback of wires are the wires. Who wants to see and run all the wires. If you recall HDMI solves the multi-cabling issue for audio and video into one cable, one interface. I can’t justify buying a wireless HDMI now, but who knows in a few years maybe. If we could transmit electrical power wirelessly, then you would really have something. I suppose the FCC would step in then.

They are working hard and heavy on that. Small wireless kitchen appliances and transmitters that go under your kitchen countertops either recently hit the market or are about to.

looks cool, but wireless always makes me think "less quality". There is something about taking a cord and connecting it from A to B that feels good, know what I mean? When wireless waves are just out there floating around somewhere, kind of makes me thing signal loss, and lack of quality. I'll grow up someday. Typing this now on my laptop that is connected to the internet "wireless".

I saw this item a while back and when I saw the price tag, I though you could buy another kickass HDTV with that amount of coin
