Little Big Planet Problem! Help! - Blu-ray Forum

Ok, this is for a buddy of mine but im totally out of ideas. My buddy for some reason is not able to invite or join anything online in LBP. When i try to invite, both of his "invite" and "join" options have a slash through them, but i can see what level he is playing and what not when i check his avatar in my friends list. Any ideas anyone?

if he or you are already in a level, and u past spinny flag thing in the begginiing of the level, u cannot join his game,....just go to ur pods and invite each other and enter the level together....

I thought maybe that there is a chance both of you were in levels and had passed the signs that don't allow people to join in, but I'm pretty sure you can still invite someone at that point, they just won't show up until you start again, or start another level.

yea, i thought you just dont start either but are able to join. Mine is working just fine. its only his and its strange. i told him to go to "My Friends" and look for me. Hes saying he doesnt even see a place where "My Friends" is. Maybe hes just a big dummy but im out of ideas...

How long has he had the game? I want to say that I had to play through some levels before the two other planets even appeared - is it possibly that?

Is he able to go to cool levels and see stuff out online? If he can't even get to community levels that he's either not able to log onto the PSN or onto the LBP servers.

yea its really weird. He did just get the game so maybe you do have to play some levels before you can open the other stuff. Im not sure. I would also thing that he cant log onto the PSN or LBP servers, but i can see him online, and also see tha the has a couple LBP trophies and what level he is playing on LBP, so hes gotta be on, ya know...

I thought you had to beat the first 3 (4?) levels before the online play and creation modes open up. (I know the creation mode isn't available till you beat the 3 level and the character tells you to visit her moon (or something like that).

If he hasn't even beaten the first 3 to 4 levels - tell him to start crackin'!

Yeah, if you can see him online he's obviously connected.

It doesn't take long to complete the gardens - have him at least complete all the gardens story levels first and see if that clears things up.

Thanks Guys, maybe thats the deal. The kids really not in the loop with this stuff and i havent been over to his place to see for myself...
