Default Playing Blu ray on PS3 and is connected to T220.

Hi, it will help if someone can answer this question.
I have recently bought a samsung t220 which i think is one of the best monitor out as of right now. My question is i have connected my PS3 and when i try to play the games i do not have any problem either in the games or the monitor, but when i try to watch a blu ray movie the monitor turns pink or has a background which is pink but it still plays the movie. I am not sure why is that i did buy 10 bucks hdmi to dvi cable but i dont think that would be the problem, if someone can help that will be great. Thanks

Is the monitor HDCP compliant? I was looking at the specs, but it didn't state anything about it. You might not be able to play BD's if it's not compliant. But you would think a newer monitor like that would be.

I am not sure where that is on the PS3. i went into playstation display option and used the hdmi option cuz i have hdmi to divi from ps3 to the monitor. and i tried both 1080 i option and 720p still i get pink in the back ground and blu-ray still plays, let me see where the RGB Limited is on the pS3.

Yeah, I had the same problem when I first got my PS3. In cases like this, it also helps to make sure the HDMI cable is securely plugged in.

Default Rgb

I know how to fix this. I had the same exact problem. Go to your PS3 menus..under the "settings' tab, select BD/DVD settings, then scroll down to BD/DVD Video output Format ....select RGB.

I actually had to do this and then turn my TV and my PS3 off. When I turned it back on and tried to play the movie, everything was normal.

Good luck.
