United Kingdom Oasis - Lord Don't Slow Me Down

Anyone pick this up yet? It has already been released in the UK as seen here:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Oasis-Lord-Dont-Slow-Blu-ray/dp/B001CJJWTI

The U.S. release was supposed to have come out today but many retailers are now saying it is unavailable. Anyone know if this UK release is region free? I already have the dvd but would buy this in an instant if it is region free.

Thank you. What are the sound options? Is the soundtrack in PCM?

Just got it. Astonishing disc. The documentary is subtitled in several languages, as is the audio commentary. The actual gig is pure 1080 HD with tons of grain, there's no DVNR here "so that it can look clean like the DVD". Someone somewhere is listening...
First music Blu-Ray I received, and the first time I feel like I'm there at the gig, rather than watching some distant video view that cannot replace the real experience. AAAAA+++++

Could it be that the UK version in locked and the Australian one is not? I'm not sure if I've heard of anything like that before.

Be warned, it's in 1080i, 50hz not 60hz, make sure your player and TV are capable of displaying these rates.

You sure its 1080i? The cover says 1080p, I will have to check that.

Also, the copy I have from down under has "made in the EU" on both the disc and back cover. I assumed both the UK and Australia got the same version.

Oh man, I am a huge Oasis fan and I would absolutely love to get this (saw them in concert in August!). Has anyone tried this on a North American PS3?

Ok I just checked and you are right, it is 1080i. oh well, its still a nice upgrade from the DVD.

I suggest anyone that wants this, buy it from an Aussie site like EzyDVD. As mentioned earlier, there have been reports that the UK one is locked to B.

I got the UK one, so cannot tell... when will the PS3 accomodate in an update an icon that can display the disc region(s) ? I'm surprised this hasn't happened yet, or even that it wasn't included originally.
It's probably 1080i because it was shot that way for budget reasons. I think the price has just started to come down on 1080p cameras.

OK, I guess that's why it won't play on US TVs.

It may be region free, but since it's only 1080i, it's in 50hz, which means it won't play on US TVs.

Duh ? It's Liam man. Looks how he blows off that stupid australian chick in the documentary "go back to bed" hahaha, this Blu rules, but... you have to have both a 50hz capable player and 50hz capable TV. The audio commentary is hilarious. Best commentary ever made for digital media. Period.
I also love the "Tom Cruise sucks" part "Only Cocktail is good. All his movies are s--t !" LOL

So it seems that the release is not region locked but it will not display as most Americans do not have televisions that display 50 Hz content. Americans with computer BD drives should be able to play this on their computer though as computer displays can handle any refresh rate.
