![]() True 120HZ 5:5 pulldown 1080P displays for only $889 I do not like LG products that much but they are priced cheaper then any other TV on the market. LG is the very first and only manufactory currently that has a true 1080P/24 display under $1,000. The following LG display according to the spec sheet is a true 120HZ 5:5 pulldown display when a 1080P/24 signal is received from a BLU-RAY player. LG 37LG60 (1080P/24 correctly refreshed at 120HZ when Truemotion is off and Real Cinema is on) The LG37LG60 can be purchased by mail order for $889 with free shipping. http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-t...?tag=mncol;lst The LG has poor black levels and contrast ratios that makes the picture quality not as good as a Sony or Samsung LCD screen. Still at these prices it may make an ideal display for a room in the house that is not used that much. Not everyone can afford to have a high-end Pioneer Plasma in every room of the house. I have edited this post so that it has correct information. The 32 inch LG's are only 60HZ displays and not 120HZ like LG says in the manual.

that seems very good deal. if i can't get rid of triple ball effect on certain console games on my th-42pz80u, i might return it and get that set.
how good is it anyway? is it any better than samsung LN40A630 or comparable? it sounds pretty sweet on spec. also is beachcamera dot com trust worthy source? never shopped anything from them b4. ![]() Last edited by shinobier; 11-29-2008 at 10:57 PM. |

http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-tvs/samsung-ln40a630/4014-6482_7-33229415.html The advantage of buying at a Retail Store is that if there is a problem it is easier to return within 30 days. Mail order you have to pay for return shipping and there are sometimes restocking fees. Last edited by HDTV1080P; 11-29-2008 at 11:45 PM. |

local circuit city is selling LN40A630 for $1299..
i've got my panasonic th-42pz80u from best buy but they do the price matching too so i think i can get LN40A630 for same price. and as for that triple ball effect on panasonic plasma, it only occurs when you play certain games. for example, town background in tales of vesperia for xbox 360 looks absolutely garbage in this set. ok, it looks good when you are not moving but when you start running, it creates horrible triple clone images of entire backdrop, it almost is unwatchable. also i hear sonic game suffers from that effect too when camera pans. i haven't checked with all of my game but at least soul calibur iv seemed ok. i am going to go home and try to mess with setting some more but if it doesn't get any better, i will be forced to return it again. again, it only happens when you play certain games. movies or tv show looked great on both sd and hd. ![]() |

if so how come my 5 years old 24 inch lcd dell monitor with 12ms response time displays this game better?
it has minor ghosting issue on same game but not as bad as this. at least it doesn't create triple ball effect(more like minor double image). seriously, tales of vesperia looks 10x worse on this plasma. =( |

xbox 360 and ps3.
oh.. and i have 0 ghosting or triple ball effect(or lag whatever it is called) on my old flat screen sd-tv. i mean higher resolution is nice and PQ is superb but it's just a shame there's so much other bad effects came with it. =( Last edited by shinobier; 11-30-2008 at 01:56 AM. |

Oh, are you connected via HDMI or component? You might try a different connection type, different cable or different input and see if that makes a difference. ![]() |
