Default PS3 Controller

Does anyone know if they make a PS3 controller that is shaped like the xbox controller? I've heard that there was one, but was not successful in finding one. I think you can buy one for the PS2 and use a converter, but not sure that's a great option. Ideas?

you can mod an xbox wired controller with the ps3 controller compents inside it. There are videos on youtube showing how to do it.

Seems to me like a lot of trouble for something that is not exactly vital to playing.

aren't they close enough to not really make that big of a difference? i'm sure there's some cheap knock off that would do the job

I think the Nyko Zero controller looks alot like a 360 controller, and it was going for $30 last I saw.

The PS controller is probably the best in the history of gaming. Why would you want such a thing?

Good luck, this is something I've been wanting to do for a while, if only for my shooters on PS3. I enjoyed Bioshock a lot more with the 360 controller. To each is own I guess.

I prefer the 360's controller when playing games like GRAW.

I would love to see a controller with the guts of a DS3 and 360 controller in it, so it can be used for either. Come on Mr. Heck, don't let me down.......

It was, until the Xbox controller came along. I've got both systems, and I much prefer the feel of the 360 controller over the PS3. For that reason alone, I will purchase a 360 version of a game over a PS3. My opinion, of course, based on what feels good in my hands.

the xbox 360 controller is king when it comes to first person shooters. i only buy fps for my 360 for this reason alone.

one small thing i hate about the ps3 controller is the indicator lights. you can't see them, they're on the front and they should be on top like the 360. minor thing but it annoys me.

Why would you need them on the top?

i like feedback. if i push the button to turn it on, i want to see the controller respond to let me know. i also want to be able to glance at a controller and know if it's on or off. not too much of an issue anymore though since the ps3 controller can finally turn itself off.

or maybe i'm just weird

Well, the only things I like about the 360's controller are the triggers, which you can get for the Sixaxis/DS3.
