Have Blu-ray player prices bottomed out? - Blu-ray Forum

It seems the fall in player prices has slowed if not stopped in the last couple of weeks. Do you recon thats it for 2008 or will there be more price cuts to come?

I'm looking at importing a BDP-S550 to the UK but the cheapest I can find one for is $350.

They haven't dropped much recently because of Black Friday.

prices will continue to drop. you can get players regular price now for $150

Several places have the 550 for under $350. Not sure if they'll ship to the UK though.

I would bet that online player prices won't change that much from here through the end of the holiday season. However, you may want to wait until this Friday, as it is the day after a Thanksgiving here in the U.S. It is traditionally the busiest shopping day of the year here, and many retailers have sales.

Looks like the BDP-S550 has jus dropped again, now $305 on amazon.com

Lets hope other retailers follow suit quickly.
