new to home theater system - Blu-ray Forum

I recently bought a Sony 40 inch W4100 HDTV, PS3 (80gb) in my first step towards High Def. I have about 40 blu rays movie now and now i decided to actually start investing in Surround sound system so i can enjoy the games and blu ray movies even more.

All i want is a decent sound system that i wont regret later on.
my plan is to slowly buy all the required stuff in about 2 months time..
i get pay every 2 weeks so

pay week 1 - receiver
pay week 2 - R/L Speaker
pay week 3 - Center
Pay week 4 - Surround Sound/sub

here is what i came up with after reading some ppl threads....

Receiver = Onkyo TX-SR606 (499.99 CAD)
R/L = Polk Audio RTi5 (549.99 CAD)x2
center - Polk Audio Centre Channel Speaker (CSI A6) (499.99CAD)
sub - Polk Audio 12" Powered Subwoofer (PSW125) (549.99cad)
surround - Polk Audio Bookshelf Speakers (RTi6) (499.99cad)

is that good for a basement with space and am i overspending and should look for a cheaper options... i just want to watch the movies and play games. i'm new and i need help...

All except the sub are good choices. You can do better.

would Klipsch 10" Subwoofer (RPW-10) do the trick.. i dont know what else
