Post "The Trouble with Angels" (1966) and "Where Angels Go, Trouble Follows" (1968)

I hope Sony will consider releasing the 1966 comedy "The Trouble with Angels" as well as the film's 1968 sequel "Where Angels Go, Trouble Follows" on Blu-ray sometime in the near future. But to me, I actually prefer the latter ("Where Angels Go...") over the former ("Trouble with Angels") more because "Where Angels Go..." was a lot funnier and it seemed to have a bit more spunk than "Trouble with Angels". "The Trouble with Angels" was good, but I thought that it played out as more of a drama than a comedy. Plus "Where Angels Go..." had a young Susan Saint James in the film years before starring on TV's "MacMillan and Wife" and "Kate & Allie"!

P.S. Just so you know, when you look at the DVD cover of "Where Angels Go, Trouble Follows", that's Susan Saint James on the right with the yellow sunflower and her hair cut short.

I see both are running tonight on TCM & they still haven't appeared on blu ray. And the bastards at TCM are running both against the NFC Championship game to boot. Wonder if they'll ever get a hi def release?

I am a big fan of Haley Mills and think "Trouble With Angels" is one of her best pictures. I have seen this film in HD on HD net, and it looks great. Given Haley's appeal and the many popular Disney features she starred in, it is amazing that not a single release of any of her films has made it to Blu-ray. I think "Trouble" would be a good fit for Twilight Time since it would seem to complement their limited release model of Sony/Columbia films that probably do not meet the criteria for a major release (whatever on earth that metric might be!). I have suggested the title on TT's Facebook page, but there has been no response from them. Others might weigh in over there and see if we can get some traction. Miss Mills deserves some Blu exposure!

Count me in for both films. Loved The Trouble with Angels when I was much younger.

Funny that this thread was updated today. I caught a few minutes of "Where Angels Go..." and there's this one "music video" portion where it's just random shots of young people dancing and I suddenly thought of the movie "Spring Breakers" and how the so-called "Bad youth" idea has always been the same but the only difference is the hairstyles, clothing styles, and of course the music, lol.
