Not that I've heard yet, but did hear the supposed true story that one of the Anusol type companies (anal itch creme) requested from the Johny Cash estate to be able to use the song "Ring of Fire" in their commercial.

Permission was denied. Would have been an awesome Super Bowl commercial.

Speaking of Ring of Fire, the inclusion of that song in Silent Hill was probably my favorite scene in the movie.

I'd REALLY like to get this movie.

i've done the searches, so and still haven't been able to find anything about a tentative release date.

Anybody know anything about whether ...or when really, they're going to release this on blu-ray?

Who knows... maybe the contract with the record company / estate of the late Johnny Cash stated specifically terms relating to a DVD release as well as the movie. BD would therefore not be covered and may be subject to a separate contract.

Don't get me wrong. I did enjoy JCR's acting in Chicago.

and Gangs of New York. After Blades of Glory which was hilarious, it got old. The same ole parodic style mocking Johnny Cash in Walk Hard just didn't cut it.

He might play a useful role as a politician though

I find it odd how people expect a studio to have released their entire catalog within two years of the format's inception.

Even now where six movies are released a week B&M retailers aren't stocking every title. Why would a studio release more? It makes no sense.

blu-ray is still a new format and Fox suspended blu-ray support for a few months so that affected new releases.
Give it time.

you have new new releases coming out on blu-

and then you have some really old stuff too comine out

the middle ground is where some titles are forgotten about, but this one is beyond me because it was such a good movie.
