Problems with Lionel Ritchie - Blu-ray Forum

Denon DVD-2500BT (EU, FW 1.113) is freezing with Loinel Ritchi - Live (UK). Does anyone else have the same problem?

I have no problem with lionel ritchie personally, i like his music :-)

Maybe the disc is broke take it back or,
Stop listening to the slow songs and try some fast ones.

Hi primus_slo,
I tried the Lionel Richie on both my EU and my US Panasonic DMP-55 player. Both play the Universal demo for music Blu-Rays but stopw when the main movie (title) is supposed to start. Is this the same effect you have or does it at least play?
Playing the title with PowerDVD 8 on the PC with my LG Blu-Ray drive however works like a charm.

Technology ... not what it used to be where everything worked everywhere without firmware updates and the like ...

Hi - you can download for your US version of Panasonic DMP BD-55k as 1.5 firmware ! Maybe with it will be works (I HOPE IT )

BUT I have same european Pana BD-55 with multi chip-set upgrade to regiofree same as DVD as BLU RAY with switchable A,B and C !! As DVD works like ALL REGIO !

Not to sound cruel, but Lionel Ritchie looks like a MULE. Good thing he can sing, but at least he has smooth skin. He needs to do a Christmas album. I wonder what it would feel like to kiss Lionel Ritchie? (You go first!) Would it be like washing my hair?

I have the 1.5 firmware on both US & EU Panasonic but no go. As it works with PowerDVD on the computer, I hope that any future Panasonic firmware will address this.

I believe nycomet was making a joke about the thread's title, "Problems with Lionel Ritchie". Nothing to get snippy about.

To the OP, maybe you should explain where the disc tends to freeze. Is it a menu or a specific point in the video? I'd guess it's a player issue, but it could be a faulty disc I guess.

I have two Universal titles and none of them plays on my PS3.
It's Keane Live and Oasis
Plays fine with Powerdvd and LG drive on my pc.
Can't get Sony to understand this.

I upgrade the firmware of my two Panasonics (v1.2 for the EU and v1.6 for the US player) ... still no go for Lionel Richie.
