It's hard to believe I've had my briefcase for almost a year. It debuted December 18th '07. I never see these for sale on the boards. I guess we can call them OOP now. I wouldn't call them "rare"...they made over 100k. They're on Amazon for around $85+...it's surprising because I bought mine for $60.
I remember it like it was yesterday. This was hailed as the biggest dvd/blu-ray/hddvd release ever. The packaging alone was enough to give it a second look and for me, it was a blind buy. Well worth it too! I had no idea how big it was going to be. So I headed over to Best Buy and did some recon work. I couldn't find any briefcases by the Blade Runner display. I then found one HDDVD b-case on an end aisle. It had a $100.00 price tag. I examined it thoroughly and thought it was a must have. So I went home and Amazon had them in stock for $66. The rest is history. I'd love to get a set similar to this one of Gladiator or Jurassic Park of course it will never happen...oh ya..Star Wars too *cough cough. Mine is collecting dust daily so I was contemplating if I should put it up for sale or not but I have no idea what it's worth. Who else has one just sitting around? Just for kicks, I'm posting my "unique" collector's edition number. If anyone else wants to participate and post up their number then we'll get an idea of how many members have one & are in the club. ![]() "The Limited Edition Briefcase Club" 101741/103000 Last edited by sfmarine; 11-29-2008 at 04:06 PM. |

The only worth it will ever have is that which is in the eye of the beholder.
Or better yet: It will be worth what the market will bear. But you'll have to sell it to find out. Otherwise, it's a bunch of case candy collecting dust on a shelf. |

Blade Runner is one of the most overrated movies of all time regardless of the packaging. I'll never say the movie sucks because it doesn't; the movie is a good movie in it's own right. But for some reason people say it's one of the best movies they have ever seen and I just don't agree. So, to echo one of the previous posters "the worth is in the eye of the beholder", and I for one wouldn't give $5 for it.

![]() I think it is a good movie. Not the greatest ever made. In terms of blu-ray, it may be one of the most solid oldies to appear in this format. The definitive version shocked me with its video and audio quality. ![]() |
