Default 6ave or Amazon

I have a dilemma:

Buy the Panasonic 58-PZ800 from 6ave.com for $2580 (curb delivery) or for $2630 (front door delivery) VERSUS

Buy it from Amazon for $2,817 (including taxes + white glove).

The difference in price is $237 and $187 respectively depending on the delivery method chosen at 6ave.

I need help to decide. The thing that scares me from 6ave is their defective product policy. U must contact the manufacturer. No return allowed unless product is damaged at delivery.

Help!!!!!

Honestly, I wouldn't buy a TV mail-order at all.

I have a friend who bought a 32" from BestBuy and it came with a hole in the box that went clear through the screen (imagine that)

Go for the white glove from amazon...I know amazon will take care of you.

I would also like to add that what happened to my friend is probably a one in a million thing and it has been a good 5 or 6 years which probably pits you in a the late 850,000 point so you are pretty good for about a year or two.

Good luck...go with the peace of mind.

Enjoy it in good health,

I've never had a bad experience with 6ave. The last item I bought from them was a receiver.

6ave are also one of Amazon's larget marketplace sellers.

There is no difference between the status of 6ave and Amazon as a retailer.

Thats the only reason I bought from them, every TV that amazon had out of stock was being sold by 6ave. Went to their site though and used 6% off code

I've never had a problem with mail order purchases, but you need to check the ratings of the retailer. There is a website...can't remember the name, but if you Google "retailer ratings", you'll find it there.

I'd go with Amazon myself, not knowing the track record of this company. If you go with 6ave, I'd be sure to check the package carefully for exterior damage before signing for it.

On large items, I always pay extra for white glove. Get it taken inside, put into place, and the packaging taken away so all the neighbors aren't eyeballing the giant tv box.

I ordered a 42-PZ800U from them back in May when they were just hitting the market. The TV had a vertical 2" green bar running through the left side of the picture, so I called Panasonic. I had a replacement in a couple of days, so I wouldn't worry about their policy. Panasonic has excellent customer service.

I personally have great experiences with 6th ave. And i feel there is nothing more satisfing than paying for something and having it right there then buying something on-line and then have to wait... Although i guess i'm mainly refering to more high-end/expensive products. Just my personal opinion but i say buy it from a store just so you can inspect the box yourself.

B&M prices are too high. Best Buy and Ultimate ELectronics are selling it for $3600 plus tax = $3,827

I think it woud be better to ask somebody who knows you and your situation. Too many unknown variables for me to offer an opinion on which would be better for you.

Good Luck

I've always had my shipments delivered without incident from Amazon, but only 2 items delivered were large and pricey. I have no experience with 6ave but would do some research online to see if there's many complaints about condition of delivery as the price difference is enough to justify at least that.

I bought my Samsung LN52A650 from Amazon, with free white glove delivery. One of the best buying experiences I've had with an online retailer.

I purchase from Amazon all the time.

I also have purchased a Marantz receiver and a Marantz Blu player fron 6ave and it was also great. But when I called to buy, I asked them for a better price and got it. Ask and it may be given.

What is that white glove thing? Never heard of that. I ordered my tv with free shipping. Is this curb side delivery only? What if Im not at home? Can I reschedule for a set time?

White glove means they bring it into the house and set it in the desired spot (up to 3 flights of stairs usually) unpack, and take away packaging. On something like a sectional sofa, it would also include connecting the pieces together.

Curbside delivery means they take it off the back of the truck for you.

Times...... as with most things like this.... is usually a time frame like between 10-2.
