Default Blu-Ray.com members , how far back from your screen to you sit ?

Hey guys , I already posted another thread titled.........

Blu-Ray.com members, what size of an HDTV are you running?

But now id like to know how far back from the screen do you sit.
(actually eyeballs to screen distance.)

mine is : 46" screen and 9' eye to screen distance.

Thing is I have a 46" set , it seemed big enough when I got it
but a little bigger would be nice.

After looking at this chart, I am really glad I did not go with anything smaller
because I am almost out of the area to be able to see
the benefits of 1080p with my screen size to distance.

My eyes to screen distance is 9 feet...according to the chart I am
just barely at the distance to where 1080p benefits start to become
noticable.

According to the chart a 60" display at my distance of 9 feet would
be about perfect.

Anyhow it would be nice to hear what some other blu-ray users
screen to eye distance is.

thanks

Allthogh I don't agree with the chart you posted completly. I CAN notice a difference from SD 480i/p to HD 720p/1080i in my bedroom @ 14ft on my "small" 32"

You're listening to the chart too much. With a quality tv thats over 40 inches, you'll be able to tell that 1080p is amazing, and 720p won't be able to touch it, no matter how far you're sitting away from it. Sounds to me like you're just wishing you had a bigger screen size, which is okay brother! I do too, I just bought my 46" and I'm kinda wishin that I bought the same tv in the 52" version. But I still love my new tv to death, so there's something to look forward to in the future

Btw I sit at about 9' with my 46"

I have really good eyes. I think keeping up with the 1080P line will make you go blind being so close.

my screen is 2.55m wide. Distance for DVD watching is around 3.5 m. For Blu-ray I watch at 2.5 m distance.
