Default James Bond and Sony BDP-S550

I'm interested in purchasing the 6 James Bond Blu-Ray discs. I have read some of the reviews that there are issues with some of the Blu-Ray players being able to play the discs.

My question is, has anyone had any issues with the James Bond Blu-Ray discs and the Sony BDP-S550?

Thanks
Paul

I played my two Bond BD's, For Your Eyes Only and Live And Let Die, with no problems on my S550.

There were some problems with Sony players (Such as my BD-S1), if you did not have the latest firmware. Issue has been resolved.

I find it a little upsetting that they still couldn't include the Ministry of Propaganda section for Die Another Day. And to add insult to injury, the kept the 007 Mission Control from the UE dvd's for D.A.D., but not for the other films.

I appreciate the fact that they included the opening titles for all the films on the bonis disc, but I'd have liked to see the opening intros for the films sans titles in HD.

And speaking of the bonus disc, I'm a bit underwhelmed at the content included on there. Simply montage pieces cut together really quickly aside from the Skyfalls vlogs. I was really looking forward to the 'Being Bond' piece, but found the end product woefully disappointing. Especially since the marketing of the set made it sound like one long, interesting retrospective including all the actors.

There's a thread for that:
